Applications for the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Masters Scholarships are now open for the year 2021-2022 for African students (African nationals and residents in Africa), who wish to undertake a Masters course taught at the University of London in the Kingdoms- United.

Each Allan and Nesta Ferguson scholarship fully covers tuition fees and provides a living grant, the total scholarship value is £ 30,555.

The Ferguson scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit. Students receiving an Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarship must acquire it in the 2021/22 academic year and cannot be carried over to a later year.

Eligible programs

Full time Master of African studies .
Full time Master, international studies and diplomacy.

Candidate criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a national and resident of an African country,
• Hold an undergraduate degree,
• Apply and Hold an offer of admission to pursue one of the eligible programs before the scholarship deadline.
• Priority can be given to applicants with unconditional offers. If your offer is conditional, please make sure you meet the conditions as soon as possible.
• Applicants must fulfill the English language requirement of their offer of admission to study at the University of London as soon as possible, but no later than June 1, 2021. If your offer is conditional on English, please arrange your test of English and make sure you meet the English requirements as soon as possible.

Candidate evaluation

Applicants will be assessed on their academic merit by an advisory committee made up of three academic members. The evaluation of your application will be based on the information contained in your scholarship application. Selectors will review the degree results as well as academic references, statements, and other relevant information.

Deadline of Allan And Nesta Ferguson Scholarships

Scholarship applications must be received no later than 3:00 PM (UK local time) on April 30, 2021. You must also submit a full online application to your program.

Successful applicants will be notified by the end of June. If you haven’t heard from us by the end of June, you should assume that your request was unsuccessful.

Allan And Nesta Ferguson Scholarships application procedures

There are two steps you need to follow:

STEP 1: Apply for your program:

You must submit a FULL admission application online. A full admission application includes transcripts, an explanation of the grading system for all degrees obtained outside the UK, two references, a CV and a personal statement. The jury will examine your ENSEMBLE scholarship application together with your online admission application.

It is recommended, but not necessarily, to apply to the master’s program of your choice before March 19, 2021.

STEP 2: Apply for the scholarship:
