King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia announced the opening of applications for its master’s and doctoral fellowship for the academic year 2024-2025.
KAUST is an international research university founded in 2006, on the outskirts of Jeddah. KAUST is the first gender-mixed educational university in the KSA, its campus covers 36 km² on the shores of the Red Sea. It is ranked 27ᵉ in the QS WUR ranking by subject in 2022. At KAUST, 97% of the teaching staff are international.
The KAUST fellowship has no specific eligibility criteria. Every student admitted to a master or doctoral program receives it.

BENEFITS OF THE KAUST FELLOWSHIP
Each student admitted to a master’s or doctoral program receives the KAUST scholarship. It grants him/her:
- Full tuition coverage.
- A monthly stipend ($20,000 to $30,000 per year), depending on qualifications and degree progress
- On-campus housing.
- Full medical and dental coverage.
- Relocation allowance.

KAUST is dedicated to scientific research and offers only graduate degrees (master and doctorate). KAUST University offers master and doctoral degrees in the following fields:

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for KAUST fellowship, applicants must be admitted to a master’s or doctoral program of their choice.
To be considered for a program of study at KAUST, you must:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree for the master’s level or a master’s degree for the doctoral level in one of the above-mentioned fields of study.
- Meet a minimum English requirement (79 IBT, or 6.5 IELTS, or 62 PTE, or 176 CAE). The KAUST admission code is 4,107.
- Upload all required documents (see list below).
HOW TO APPLY TO KAUST?
To apply for KAUST fellowship, please apply to a master’s or doctoral program of your choice. Click on the “Apply” button below and follow the instructions to submit your application.
You will be asked to provide the following documents:
- Transcripts: A scan of the official transcript provided by the university in the native language with the certified English translation.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Your work experience, research experience and any other relevant information.
- Statement of Purpose: 750 words (approximately) regarding your previous work, preparation for your intended field of study, relevant background and interests, academic plans and career goals. Describe your reasons for applying to a particular KAUST program.
- Three letters of recommendation: must be written by professors or advisors under whom you have conducted research or taken courses.
- Official TOEFL, IELTS, IBT, CAE or PTE scores.
- Official GRE results : not required, but is encouraged and can enhance your application. The KAUST admission code is 4,139.
Documents must be, or translated, into English.
