So here are our top 10 scholarships currently open for applications:

1. World Bank scholarships

After the first call, the World Bank will launch its second call for scholarship applications in a few days.  The World Bank Scholarship Program provides funding for international students to continue their studies in one of 35 participating programs at a university in the United States, Europe, Oceania, or Japan in key development areas.

DEADLINE: from March 29, 2022, to May 27, 2022.
LEVEL: Master.

2. University of Calabria scholarships

The University of Calabria, Italy, will award 120 scholarships to foreign students (from outside the European Union) who will be accepted into undergraduate (Bachelor’s) or graduate (Master’s or professional Master’s) programs.

DEADLINE: April 14, 2022.
LEVEL: Bachelor, Master.

3. Fulbright program in the USA

The Fulbright Program enables foreign graduate students, young professionals and artists to conduct study and research in the United States. Approximately 4,000 international students receive Fulbright grants each year.

DEADLINE: Depending on the country, but usually in May.
LEVEL: Master’s degree, doctoral research.
FUNDING: Fully funded.

4. Friedrich Miescher Institute scholarships

The IMF, Switzerland, offers both a PhD program and an MD-PhD program. The PhD program accepts students with a university degree in life sciences or any related field. The MD-PhD program is designed for medical students interested in basic scientific research.

DEADLINE: May 1, 2022.
LEVEL: Doctorate, Doctor of Medicine.
FUNDING: 45,148 euros / year.

5. DAAD EPOS in Germany

The DAAD EPOS scholarship is fully funded for international students. This scholarship is available to pursue master’s or doctoral studies at top German universities.

LEVEL: Master, Doctorate.
FUNDING: Fully funded.

6. University of Malta Postgraduate scholarships

Tuition waivers of up to 100 percent will be granted to deserving students. The fee waiver will apply for the normal duration of the program being attended. If extensions to the period of study are required, these may not necessarily be eligible for a fee waiver.

DEADLINE: July 21, 2022.
LEVEL: Master’s, Doctorate.
FUNDING: Partial.

7. Google Africa and India Fellowships

The Google Africa Fellowships program was established to reward outstanding graduate students conducting exceptional and innovative research in computer science and related fields. The number of fellowships is indefinite. Google will fund any applicant of interest.

LEVEL: Doctorate.
DEADLINE: April 27, 2022.
FUNDING: $30,000 for three years.
DETAILS: Google Africa and India Fellowships.

8. EPFL Excellence Master scholarships

Candidates selected for the EPFL scholarships will receive an amount of CHF 10,000 per semester ($10,730), as well as the reservation of a student room in a university residence and a certificate of excellence (at the end of the Master program). The scholarship will be paid for a maximum of four semesters.

LEVEL: Master.
DEADLINE: April 15, 2022.
FUNDING: $10,730 per semester.
DETAILS: EPFL Master Excellence Scholarships.

9. ETH Zurich E4D fellowships

The objective of the E4D Fellowships is to enhance the knowledge and skills of future leaders with a view to contributing to capacity building and poverty reduction in their home countries. They are funded by the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

LEVEL: MAS, DAS, CAS (see below for details).
DEADLINE: April 30, 2022.
FUNDING: Fully funded.
DETAILS: The E4D program of the ETH Zurich.

10. “Talents attraction” in Spain

One hundred and eight scholarships are up for grabs for excellent international students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies at the University of Jaen in Spain. Of these scholarships, 56 are co-financed by Linares City Council.

LEVEL: Bachelor’s degree.
DEADLINE: April 5, 2022.
FUNDING: Fully funded.

11. Paris-Saclay University scholarships

The program aims to promote the international opening of master’s degree courses offered within the institutions of the University of Paris-Saclay and to facilitate the reception of international students of the highest international level.

DEADLINE: May 14, 2022.
LEVEL: Master.
FUNDING: All nationalities.
DETAILS: Scholarships from the University of Paris-Saclay.
