University of Paris-Saclay’s Eiffel Scholarship 2022-2023

The call for applications for the Eiffel Scholarships at the University of Paris-Saclay for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open, until Friday, November 18, 2022, at 11:59 p.m..

University of Paris-Saclay was ranked 13ᵉ globally in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2021 ranking. In the subject rankings, it was placed at 1st worldwide for mathematics and 9th worldwide for physics (1st rank in Europe), and received a spot in the top 25 for medicine and agriculture.

Eiffel University Paris-Saclay Scholarships : Master

A total of 365 master’s programs are eligible for Eiffel Scholarships at the University of Paris-Saclay, including 129 at the Master 1 level.

To apply for a Master’s degree, you must be:

  • Foreign nationality (other than French),
  • Under 25 years old (born after March 1996)
  • Graduate in one of the following fields: Biology and Health, Ecological Transition, Mathematics and Digital, Engineering Sciences, History, French Language and Civilization, Law Political Science, Economics or Management.
  • Must be applying for the 1st time (cannot be combined with another French government scholarship).

Eiffel University Paris-Saclay Scholarships: Doctorate

For the PhD program, you must be a co-supervisor or co-director and provide the co-supervision agreement or a certificate of co-supervision signed by the French and foreign parties.

Duration of the grant

Master’s program: the Eiffel scholarship is awarded for a period of :

  • 12 months maximum for a registration in Master 2
  • 24 months maximum for enrollment in a Master 1 program
  • 36 months for the preparation of an engineering degree

Doctorate section: the Eiffel scholarship is awarded for a maximum period of 12 months (fractionable).

How to apply for the Eiffel University of Paris-Saclay Scholarships?

Step 1 : Check your eligibility on this link.

Step 2: Choose an master program provided at the University of Paris-Saclay: list of eligible Masters.

For the PhD program, you must be a co-supervisor or co-director and provide the co-supervision agreement or a certificate of co-supervision signed by the French and foreign parties.

Step 3: Prepare your application.

Documents must be translated into French or English.

For the Master’s program, the application file must contain

  1. Letter of motivation from the candidate.
  2. Curriculum vitae.
  3. Copy of transcripts since entering higher education.
  4. Academic ranking from the previous year (mandatory). This is a mandatory document to apply for the Eiffel scholarship. As this scholarship is a scholarship of excellence, the jury needs to know the student’s ranking in his or her class. If your university does not systematically issue this document, you must ask the person in charge of your course to issue a signed certificate mentioning your ranking.
  5. Letter of recommendation.

For the PhD program, the application file must contain

  1. A presentation of the thesis project and research progress, written in French or English (1 to 5 pages).
  2. Certificate of co-direction / co-supervision of the thesis.
  3. Letter of motivation from the candidate.
  4. Curriculum vitae.
  5. Copy of transcripts since entering higher education.
  6. Academic ranking from the previous year (required).
  7. Letter of recommendation.

Step 4 : Complete the online application form, by Friday, November 18, 2022, at 11:59pm: Application Form.

The deadline for applications is Friday, November 18, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.This date is different from the one indicated on the Campus France website (January 7, 2022) to allow for the preparation of selected applications.

The candidates pre-selected by the University of Paris-Saclay will be contacted by email before Friday, December 17, 2021. If you are not contacted after this date, it means that Paris-Saclay University has not selected your application for the Eiffel scholarship.
