If you are passionate about video games and want to acquire international game design skills, this exceptional opportunity could be an asset to your academic journey.

Proposed by a consortium of three universities in Portugal, Belgium, and Finland, the Erasmus Mundus REPLAY program aims to fund students of all nationalities to pursue a two-year Master’s degree. REPLAY is a two-year Master’s program focusing on a range of fundamental subjects in the field of game studies, creation, and production.

During the first semester, all students work together in Lisbon, Portugal. This semester is dedicated to leveraging local networks, contexts, and cultures, using these resources in a way that goes against the established norms of game creation.

In the second semester, all students move to Genk, Belgium, to work together at LUCA School of Arts, followed by a move to Helsinki, Finland, at Aalto University for the third semester.

Finally, for their last semester, students can choose a host university from Lusófona, LUCA, and Aalto to complete their project.

Graduates of the REPLAY master’s program will receive four Master’s degrees: a joint Master’s degree and a separate degree from each participating institution. These degrees are officially recognized in Europe and worldwide, allowing graduates to pursue further studies with a Ph.D..

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master REPLAY program is proposed by the following universities:

  • Lusófona University (Lisbon, Portugal).
