Applications for Erasmus Mundus Scholarships in Techniques, Heritage, and Territories of Industry (TPTI) are currently open for the academic year 2024/2025. TPTI Master’s program is an international two-year Master’s program coordinated by Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University (France), delivering a joint degree with the University of Padua (Italy) and the University of Evora (Portugal). The scholarship will cover tuition fees and provide a monthly stipend of €1,400 for two years. The deadline to apply is March 4, 2024.

The TPTI program focuses on the history and heritage of techniques (objects, buildings, cities, landscapes). It targets students and professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge in these areas, either to pursue a career in teaching and research or to work in cultural professions (museums, cultural institutions management, heritage professions, cultural mediation professions).

Students spend their first semester at the Sorbonne School of History, following a program centered on the history and anthropology of techniques. In the second semester, students move to Padua, where courses focus on industrial heritage. The third semester takes place in Evora focusing on the study of cultural and technical landscapes. In the fourth semester, students return to one of the three universities, depending on the orientation of their research topic.

The program includes a five-week study stay at one of the six partner universities:

  • Prague University of Technology, Czech Republic,
  • University of Oviedo, Spain,
  • University of Sfax, Tunisia,
  • Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar, Senegal,
  • University of Kagoshima, Japan,
  • National University of Córdoba, Argentina.

Upon completion of the program, students receive a joint degree awarded by Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, the University of Padua, and the University of Evora.

The Erasmus Mundus scholarship for the TPTI Master’s program will cover all participation costs for the four semesters: tuition fees, library and laboratory fees, as well as all other mandatory expenses related to the student’s participation in the master’s study program. Additionally, it grants a monthly stipend of €1,400 for the duration of academic activities and/or up to 24 months.

The EMJM TPTI Master is open to students of all nationalities holding a Bachelor’s degree in history, art history, archaeology, anthropology, architecture, geography, and regional planning.
