University of Padua Scholarships Program

The University of Padua, Italy, offers merit scholarships to very talented international students wishing to pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree entirely in English.

The scholarship program is very selective. Only applicants with the best academic results can receive a scholarship. Successful fellows will be expected to fulfill an ambassadorial role and represent the University at several events.

There is no separate application or additional specific documents to be submitted to apply for the scholarship. You only need to apply to the selected study program to be considered.

The University of Padua is a public Italian university located in the city of Padua, Veneto region, in northern Italy. It was founded in 1222. Padua is the second-oldest university in Italy and the fifth-oldest university in the world. In 2021, the university had approximately 59,000 students. It is ranked 216 in the QS Global 2021 University Rankings.

Who can apply?

Highly talented prospective international students from all over the world wishing to enroll in one of the University of Padua bachelor’s or master’s degrees entirely taught in English.

In addition, the candidate must have the following criteria:

  • Does not have Italian nationality (except for dual nationality, including Italian).
  • Hold a diploma of non-Italian foreign high-school (for bachelor level) or a non-Italian bachelor diploma (for master level).
  • Does not reside in Italy;
  • Applied or will apply to one or more programs (three maximum).

Scholarship amount

Selected applicants under the University of Padua scholarships program will be exempt from registration fees and will be entitled to an annual stipend worth €8000. The allowance will be paid in two installments of €4000 each per academic year.

The University of Padua International Excellence Scholarship has a maximum duration of two years for master’s degree applicants and three continuous years for bachelor’s degree applicants.

The international excellence scholarship of the University of Padua has a maximum duration of 2 continuous years for master’s degree and 3 continuous years for bachelor’s degree.

How to apply to the University of Padua Scholarships?

There is no separate application or additional specific documents to be submitted to apply for the scholarship. You only need to apply to the selected study program to be considered.

To apply, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Choose your study program and carefully check its entry requirements.
  2. Prepare all required documents (in PDF format).
  3. Register on apply.unipd.it by clicking on “Sign in / Register” and filling out the form.
  4. Use the code you receive by email to log in and complete your application. Make sure you have completed all fields and uploaded all necessary documents before clicking “Submit”. You may apply to up to 3 programs of your choice.
