The applications for the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) scholarships are currently open for the academic year 2024-2025. This program offers both full and partial scholarships to all admitted students. The deadline for submitting applications is set for March 29, 2024.

AIMS scholarships cover tuition fees, accommodation, and a living allowance. They aim to support African students with academic talents, who may lack the necessary financial resources to access education. These scholarships are awarded based on merit, considering academic performance, potential, and financial needs of the applicants.

AIMS is a non-profit organization receiving funding from various sources, including governments, foundations, universities, and individuals. Regarded as a pan-African organization, AIMS was established in 2003 with the opening of its first center in Cape Town, South Africa. Since then, it has expanded to include six centers across Africa: AIMS-South Africa (Cape Town), AIMS-Senegal (M’bour), AIMS-Ghana (Accra), AIMS-Cameroon (Limbe), AIMS-Rwanda (Kigali), AIMS-Tanzania (Kilimanjaro). Its goal is to empower the next generation of African leaders in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through advanced training and mentorship.
