Are you a geek? Do you love technology and building robots? Well, we have good news for you: Applications for the ETH Robotics Summer School is now open. Want another good news? This year it will be on-site and in person! So, let’s carry our suitcase and travel to one of the most beautiful countries in the world to learn from one of the best universities in Switzerland and the globe.
All summer school participants will get the opportunity to attend the ETH Robotics Innovation Day, where leading researchers from across the world will share their experiences, results, and views on the different fields of robotics.
The event will run alongside the week-long exercise sessions ARCHE (Advanced Robotic Capabilities for Hazardous Environments). Several research teams from Switzerland and around Europe will join the training site for legged robots, teleoperated excavators, amphibious vehicles, UAVs and many other robots will be deployed in collapsed, burning, or flooded buildings. Specialists from different organizations will share their knowledge.

Eligibility
The number of participants to the Summer School is restricted to maximum of 50 applicants to be selected based on curriculum, motivation letter, diversity and regardless of their nationality.
Master students and early-stage Ph.D. students are encouraged to apply.
What ETH Robotics Summer School covers?
The school will cover all course materials, coffee breaks, meals, transportation, accommodation, social dinner, entrance to the ETH Robotics Symposium, and entrance to ARCHE event.
Travel cost should be covered by the applicant (check how much it cost on Opodo). But, based on a financial support justification letter, the program can cover the applicant’s travel cost too.
How to apply to ETH Robotics Summer School.
To apply to the ETH Zürich Robotics Summer school, you should fill out the application form and provide a CV and one-page motivation letter.
In case you want a full financial coverage (i.e. travel cost), you should include a financial support justification letter in your application.
All summer school participants will be hosted at Wangen an der Aare within walking distance to the Training and Educational Facility. All provided accommodations are in gender separated shared rooms.
